The plaza del canó is located on the site where history tells us that Mr. Joan Baptista Gallart, founder of the town, landed with his family. Also, in the middle of the square is a cannon recovered from the depths of the sea, which reminds us of the many nautical and military activities which have taken place along the coast of Ametlla.
