The Gastronomic Days of “Fideus Rossejats” and “Peix Blau” Arrive in L’Ametlla de Mar
From June 2nd to 11th, 9 restaurants and 12 bars in this fishing village will offer creative tapas and excellent gastronomic menus featuring local products.
This Friday marks the start of the Gastronomic Days of “Fideus Rossejats” and “Peix Blau” in L’Ametlla de Mar, a showcase for local fish market products and a display of the best recipes from the town’s restaurateurs. Until June 11th, 9 restaurants and 12 bars will offer high-quality tapas and menus at affordable prices, with blue fish as the main highlight.
Marinated anchovies with melon soup, “fideus rossejats” with cuttlefish and mackerel fillet, and creamy “canana” rice will be some of the culinary offerings on the menus that can be enjoyed at the restaurants. All dishes will be paired with wines from the DO Terra Alta, priced between 25 and 30 euros per person.
On the other hand, the Blue Tapa Route offers twelve tapas created by the bars in the municipality, including crispy salmon, bomba stuffed with mackerel, and anchovy skewer with vinegar and squid aioli. The tapas are priced at 2.5 euros each and include a "quinto" Heineken, the official sponsor of the route.
Participants in the route will need to choose which tapa they liked the most. By filling out the form with five stamps, they will enter a raffle for a double menu and a double visit to the Tuna Tour.
XXIII Day of “Fideus Rossejats”. On Sunday, June 11th, the Day of “Fideus Rossejats” will take place at the fishing port, with a contest, gastronomic tastings, and wine samples from the DO Terra Alta and local products. Beyond promoting local gastronomy, the objective is also to boost the tourism and fishing activities of the town.
The event will conclude with a weekend full of activities. On June 9th, 10th, and 11th, the VI Festa del Mar will be held, featuring an international traditional sailing meeting, exhibitions, and conferences on the centenary of the shipwrecks during World War I, as well as nautical activities.
Instagram Photography Contest. The Municipal Tourism Department has organized a photography contest through the Instagram social network, encouraging visitors to capture the best moments of the event. To participate, photos must be tagged with #peixblau17 and #ametllademar. The best photo will win a double menu for the next gastronomic days in the town.
